Healthcare Education Specialist

While not all inclusive, the major duties of this position include:
-Providing staff support in programs related to staff development -Provides overall management for the education program -Delivering educational content to employees of varying levels of understanding -Developing strategic plans and monitoring these plans to closure -Exercising creative judgement in accomplishing major duties -Keeping open lines of communication with staff to determine education and training needs -Monitoring active issues and operations within the Network -Developing options available to handle complex issues -Creating long and short term plans -Ensuring training proposals are accurate and complete -Evaluating financial impact of proposed plans -Presenting data and recommendations to leadership -Administering training needs surveys to assess subject and content needs -Analyzing data to support training and development needs and areas of opportunity -Providing logistical oversight, curriculum development, and faculty and participant selection support for learning programs -Developing course evaluation material to evaluate program effectiveness Work Schedule:

Applicants must possess one of the following for consideration for this position. A four year degree that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in an education- related subject-matter field appropriate to this position. or Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience. Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 level. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
providing support in staff development programs; analyzing training and development needs; determining trends and gaps in training, development, or educational programs; determining appropriate focus and priority for an educational program and developing curriculum for staff based on organizational goals and priorities; implementing training programs to staff of varying levels of understanding; creating assessment tools and evaluating program effectiveness responses and data regarding the organization's education and training programs. Physical Requirements:
The work of this position requires some physical exertion, such as periods of standing when teaching; some walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, or similar activities when visiting work sites and some moderate lifting and carrying, including when setting up classrooms, managing supplies and materials (including transport and delivery). At other times, the work is sedentary, requiring the use of a personal computer. Travel within the MidCon region and attendance at national meetings/events may be required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
