Management & Program Analyst

Duties include but not limited to:
Translate complex healthcare decision support questions into applicable data reports from varied sources. Carries out studies and investigates the feasibility of alternate design approaches with a view to determine the best balanced solution. Responsible for the development and coordination of data analysis requirements. Provides input for the development of VISN 12 project plans for the analysis, design, testing, implementation and maintenance of the data analysis projects in support of the facility and Network decision support and performance monitoring. Participates and leads discussion, meetings, conferences calls with facility, VISN and VACO officials to share information, investigate facts, presents conclusions, recommendations and alternatives to mutually resolves issues. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Experience in application of management analysis principles, techniques and concepts required to lead and conduct studies designed to identify process improvements, Experience making decisions regarding principles, practices and metrology used in all phases of assignments, Experience in applying data mining, data storage and date warehousing projects, knowledge of relational databases theories and commercial software currently used, ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with end users at various levels of computer knowledge for purpose of training. PREFERRED
Experience:

This work is primarily sedentary in nature. There maybe some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light objects such as files, books, papers. The work involves a significant amount of computer keyboard operations. No special physical qualifications. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
