Planner, Emblematic Apparel and Gifts

This position is responsible for developing financial plans at department & store level in a timely, efficient and fiscally responsible manner.
Responsible for achieving sales with optimal inventory turns and assisting in using best practices to manage the department.
In partnership with Buyers, create optimal product assortment by stores to maximize sales potential and limit inventory liabilities.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and TrackingDevelops and manages financial plans and open to buy for assigned categories of merchandisePlan and forecast sales, receipts, markdowns, and inventory at dept/sub-dept, store and volume group levelsWork with buying team to develop and manage optimal product assortmentsIdentify sales opportunities and inventory liabilitiesAssist in special projects and/or adhoc reportsAssortment Planning and ManagementIdentifies and pursues areas of opportunity to increase sales by partnering with Buyers in fine-tuning product selectionIdentify over/underperforming categories and develops plans to ensure appropriate levels of inventory maximize profit in those categoriesRecommends disposition plans to either liquidate or return to the vendor overstocked aged inventoryFinancial Analysis & ReportingPerform in season business reviews by store, comparing actuals to plan and identify areas of opportunity and riskProvide recommendations of action plan to increase revenue based on quantitative findings from analysisWorks with buying team to identify national or store-specific operational issuesJob Requirements Bachelor's degree required; educational background in business or retail preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning/allocation and/or buying; preferably 2 years planning in retail environment.
Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Intermediate to advanced experience using JDA MMS and Retail IDEAS or similar retail planning & reporting system required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to implement creative and innovative ideas to increase merchandise sales and manage inventory.
Proficient in Excel and experience with Demand Planning/Open-to-Buy tools.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Work well and develop strong relationships with cross-functional team.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
