Account Manager, Intermediate

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will help Follett transform our Alternative Sourcing Team.
This individual will help define Follett's acquisition strategy for course materials (textbooks) by developing and growing supplier relationships and leveraging strong customer service, financial and procurement skills to drive the business forward.
The Account Manager is focused on achieving Follett Higher Education Group's textbook acquisition targets within an assigned group of accounts and is responsible for prospecting new accounts.
This activity includes operational activities to drive and achieve a purchasing revenue target, expense planning, forecasting, measuring results, and customer service.
The Account Manager presents, interacts, and achieves results with partner suppliers.
Key Responsibilities Actively manages existing assigned supplier relationships to meet established monthly procurement goals including negotiations, maintaining existing relationships, building new relationships, and networking within Independent Buying community.
Prospects and conducts supplier calls to engage in purchasing activity.
Plan, measure, and manage supplier performance through the use of technology and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Reconciles shipments and performs customer service related activity for assigned suppliers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
