Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor and working under minimal supervision evaluates and treats crisis situations and disability resulting from emotional, social and economic stresses of illness. Identifies and provides counseling to meet the psychosocial needs of patients and their families. Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team.
This position supports the north team consisting of north of Roosevelt Road to Lake and McHenry Counties and east from the lake to the northwestern suburbs.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Two (2) or more years of social work experience in a medical or mental health care setting. Inpatient behavioral health experience is strongly preferred.
2. Certification by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
3. Level of knowledge equivalent to a Master's Degree in Social Work.
4. Current Illinois drivers license, auto liability insurance and CPR card.
5. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
6. Posses the interpersonal skills necessary to consistently establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff, hospital personnel, outside agencies and payers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
